Local Business Field Manager - Hungary

Lead strategy. Drive performance. Shape the future of your business field.

Are you an experienced business leader with a strong commercial mindset, a passion for operational excellence and the ability to turn strategy into measurable results?

At TÜV Rheinland, we are looking for a Local Business Field Manager in Hungary, Budapest to lead the Certification of Management Systems department of our Hungarian organization and take responsibility for the successful development, performance and growth of this local Business Field.

In this role, you will combine strategic leadership, business management and people responsibility while working in close alignment with regional and global stakeholders. You will be responsible for a team of 11 employees, mainly auditors and audit coordinators, and will also actively participate in audits yourself. The position includes both domestic and international business travel.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact: you will drive local business performance, portfolio development, process implementation and the successful execution of the Business Field strategy in line with TÜV Rheinland’s global direction. An auditor qualification or relevant auditor training is considered an advantage; however, if you do not have this qualification, we will provide internal training opportunities to obtain it.

Your responsibilities

As Local Business Field Manager, you will be responsible for the assigned local Business Field, including commercial performance and operational development.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the local Business Field’s commercial targets, including P&L, sales, costs and EBIT.
  • Driving sales performance in close cooperation with the relevant Area Sales Managers.
  • Defining the local Business Field strategy in line with TÜV Rheinland’s global strategy, as well as global and regional Business Field strategies.
  • Implementing, communicating and monitoring the local Business Field strategy.
  • Managing the local product portfolio, including product innovation, relaunch and phase-out, while considering the global product portfolio strategy.
  • Implementing performance processes, IT tools and quality management standards within the local Business Field.
  • Ensuring the implementation of technical requirements related to relevant accreditation standards.
  • Applying and strengthening technical and business know-how within the local organization.
  • Taking disciplinary and technical responsibility for employees within the local Business Field.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines, regulations and internal standards.
  • Collaborating with regional, global and service function stakeholders to ensure sustainable business success.

Your profile

You are a business-oriented leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are comfortable working in an international environment and know how to lead teams, manage stakeholders and deliver results.

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • A university degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5–10 years of professional experience in a relevant business or industry area.
  • Active English skills, C1 level.
  • Proven experience in business management, leadership or project management.
  • Strong commercial understanding and the ability to manage financial targets.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional and international teams.
  • A structured, result-oriented and service-focused way of working.
  • The ability to manage change, develop people and improve efficiency.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

Your strengths

You will be successful in this role if you are:

  • Business-minded and result-driven.
  • Able to translate strategy into action.
  • A strong communicator and cooperative leader.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
  • Focused on continuous development and improvement.
  • Open to change and able to guide teams through transformation.
  • Service-oriented with a clear focus on customer and business value.
  • Efficient, structured and accountable in your way of working.
