Summary:

In this crucial NAM -focused role, the emphasis lies on growing and leading TUV Rheinland's active participation and expansion in the Machinery product category including SEMI, Robotics, Automation and Manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Own the NAM segment P/L and develop and implement a growth strategy for the segment product catalogue.
  • Align regional strategies with global industry leaders and execute locally relevant initiatives.
    • Monitor industry advancements, track competitors' moves, and study client product developments to devise cohesive strategies and plans.
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges
    • Develop and refine business strategies to align with market demands and TUV Rheinland's organizational goals.
    • In areas where TUV Rheinland resources are limited, identify and establish local partnerships (for example: Mexico and Canada)
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of regional industry dynamics.
  • Build relationships with key customers, technology giants, and stakeholders to develop commercial partnerships.
  • Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and achieving yearly targets.
  • Grow market share and customer base.
  • Oversee daily operations, including capacity planning, sales, operations, and employee engagement.
  • Execute new initiatives, investment plans, and productivity improvement strategies.
    • Identify areas for potential innovation include sustainability and cyber security.
    • Advocate for continuous improvement in business development, sales and marketing processes.
  • Champion an inclusive and engaging work environment with a winning culture and cannot fail attitude.
  • Ensure the right talent is in place to support business needs.
  • Attend industry events, network with stakeholders, and engage with complex customers.
    • Represent TUV Rheinland in relevant industry conferences and events, enhancing the company's visibility in the sector.
    • Represent the company at Committee meetings and working group to amplify industry visibility.
  • Present business plans and strategies at leadership meetings and incorporate feedback.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global accreditation and market access.
  • North American Standards Proficiency: Demonstrated deep understanding of North American standards, encompassing safety, performance, and other criteria specific to industry
  • Support, mentor and guide sales and marketing team.
  • Regulatory Acumen and Accreditation
    • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements. Secure relevant accreditations and understand the registration process.
    • Pioneer and broaden services

Qualifications:

  • University degree with 10+ years of management experience in dynamic manufacturing and engineering sectors (e.g., electrical, electronics, machinery, controls).
  • Proven P&L management experience with a track record of driving sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Experience with large and complex customer interactions, products, and services.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of building high-performing teams.
  • Global experience in culture, market, and business practices.
  • Experience leading significant organizational changes.
  • Organizational savvy, ideally in a matrixed organizational structure.
