Business Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Business Developer to drive the growth of our Health and Safety services in the UK market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing businesses from the ground up, identifying new opportunities, and building long-term client relationships. Additionally, this role requires the ability to identify the right operational setup and resources to deliver projects effectively, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Market Development: Identify and explore new business opportunities in the UK market for Health and Safety services, including but not limited to compliance services and safety culture solutions.
  • Client Acquisition: Develop and execute a strategic plan to acquire new clients, build relationships, and expand the company’s footprint in the UK.
  • Partnerships: Establish partnerships with key stakeholders, industry associations, and influencers to strengthen the company’s market position.
  • Sales Growth: Achieve revenue targets by identifying and converting leads, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Setup: Identify the right operational structure and resources (internal or external) to deliver projects effectively, including identifying the right profiles for project delivery.
  • Project Delivery: Work with internal teams to ensure the successful launch and execution of projects, monitoring progress to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to quality standards.
  • Vendor Management: Identify and manage external partners, freelancers, or consultants to supplement internal capabilities as needed.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the UK Health and Safety sector.
  • Reporting: Provide regular insights and updates on market developments, sales performance, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

What we expect of you?

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Health and Safety, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in TIC services, Health and Safety, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a business from scratch or in a new market.
  • Strong understanding of the UK Health and Safety market, including relevant regulations (e.g., HSE, ISO standards).
  • Experience in identifying and coordinating the right resources (internal or external) to deliver projects effectively.

Skills:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on results and growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Ability to identify and engage external resources (e.g., freelancers, partners) to support project delivery.
  • Network: Established connections in the UK Health and Safety sector or related industries is a significant advantage.
  • Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
