Quality Engineer

Job Description

  • Evaluate and redesign welding processes.
  • Standardize WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and implement visual aids on the shop floor.
  • Monitor/Train welders in accordance with SE(AWS) standards and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and improve weld quality through regular audits and performance reviews.
  • Improve the layout of production areas and optimize material flow.
  • Implement tooling, jigs, and fixtures to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Support technology transfer from Faist, including procedures, formats, and best practices.
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions at the point of use.
  • Strengthen documentation practices, including in-process inspection records and traceability logs.
  • Train on defect detection, recordkeeping, and use of calibrated inspection tools.
  • Implement a visual management system for quality alerts and checkpoints.
  • Support daily review of key process controls and final inspection results.
  • Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS-0047700-HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities.
  • Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Process requirements.

Experience & Further Qualifications

  • At least 1-3 years of professional experience in related area.
  • Experience as Project Manager welcome but not required.
