Lead Auditor - Social Audits

Job Description

  • Audit Planning: Develop and implement effective audit plans as per the scheme requirements & standards.
  • Compliance with TUVR Code of Ethics: Adhere to the TUVR Code of Ethics throughout the audit process, ensuring ethical conduct in all audits and interactions.
  • Onsite Audits: Conduct through onsite audits as assigned, ensuring full compliance with client protocols and industry standards - Environmental & human rights audits & workers interview.
  • Audit Report Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate audit reports and ensure timely submission within established deadlines.
  • Client Protocols: Conduct audits in accordance with TUVR and client protocols to proactively address and eliminate any potential client complaints.
  • Operational Activities: Execute all operational activities in line with instructions from the Manager and ensure adherence to internal processes.
  • Standard-Specific Audits: Conduct audits for social standards, COC & various human rights related projects, environmental standards ensuring thorough documentation and compliance.
  • Customer Query Resolution: Ensure customer queries are promptly addressed and responded to within 24 hours or the stipulated time frame as defined/agreed upon with the client.
  • Training Completion: Complete all assigned training courses within the defined/target timeframe and participate in scheduled training courses.
  • File Management: Manage audit files appropriately, ensuring retention and disposal as per company policy, in consultation with the Manager.
  • Reporting: Update weekly and monthly reports as per head office or other selling office requirements, ensuring all necessary data is accurately captured.
  • Equipment & Infrastructure: Ensure the company’s equipment and infrastructure are handled with care and are not mishandled or damaged during audits.
  • Team Support: Provide assistance to the Supervisor/Manager for any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
  • Achieving TUVR’s Annual Performance Goals and KPIs relating to audit schemes.
  • Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS-0047700-HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities.
  • Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Process requirements.

Experience & Further Qualifications

  • To conduct (act as a lead auditor) audits for social audit schemes / human rights assignments & various code audits programs.
  • Must be an APSCA registered auditor & in good standing record under APSCA
  • Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of social & human rights auditing experience covering multiple sectors.
  • Knowledge of environmental standards, ETP, chemical related standards will be added advantage
  • Must have human rights auditing experience of various industries covering textiles, chemical, hardgoods, leather and heavy industries.
  • Must have audit experience of at least two international standards like SMETA, BSCI, SLCP & WRAP
  • Must have working experience of 2nd party / 3rd party auditing agencies.
